Welcome! I hope that after reading this you get a sense of who I am and what I can offer as you seek to capture the most important moments of your life. I believe you should be comfortable with and trust your photographer before they can begin to tell your story.

So here is mine…

Growing up I was an animated child living life to the fullest in Seattle. My love for taking pictures began in high school and grew out of my intense desire to have pictures of myself and my friends in the school newspaper! It is true - I am one of those cheerleader types who upon being voted “peppiest” in my senior class realized that I would be most fulfilled with a career that allowed me to cheer on and support people in the most important times in their lives.

After four years of intense “social” and communications study, I graduated from Washington State University. I went on to work in advertising and film production in the Seattle area. Through this time in my life I found that my real passion was in the detail and emotion of life moments, which led me back to photography.

In 2000, I married my best friend and with him have embarked on many journeys that have blessed me with the opportunity to meet and interact with people all over the world. Traveling was significant to me before marriage and has now become something we both share as a component to our zest for life. My experience gathered from various cultures and continents is used as a baseline from which I paint photographic stories.

I will always consider Seattle my home, however, my husband’s career has led us to make the world our home. We now have two little boys, Nate and Sam, who are both the spunkiest as well as the most photo-opportunistic children in the whole world (okay, so maybe I’m a little biased). Family is the center of my life and my devotion to it encompasses my ability to read people and develop an atmosphere that captures their beauty and authenticity.

My personal life experiences provide me with a capacity to appreciate the most important moments in the lives of my clients. The excitement of your wedding day, the anticipation of an unborn child, the joy of a new baby, and the love of a family are emotions I not only understand, but can capture in the lives of others.
